Student accommodation


Affordable student rooms are available (June 14: the deadline for applying for these rooms is over). All rooms are single rooms.

  • Rooms with private bathrooms are in Résidence Ouest (2 rue des Taillées, Saint Martin d'Hères (+33) 4 76 82 76 50)
  • Rooms with shared bathrooms are in Résidence Fauré (341 rue des Résidences, Saint Martin d'Hères (+33) 4 76 54 90 40)

Shared bathroom means that there are bathrooms on the same floor as the room. Each floor also has a fully equipped kitchen. There will be linen in each of the room, but unfortunately no towel, no pillow, no soap, and no shampoo.

For the participants who have reserved a room and paid for it, You can arrive at any time of the day. Please have an ID in order to get the key. You may have to mention that you are coming for the ICGT conference (because participants of another event will also stay in the building). On the last day you must leave before noon and give the key back. Breakfast can be found at several cafeterias nearby on the campus; see this map, but in the evening there is no dining possibility on campus.

The campus can be reached from the center of Grenoble on tram line B or C with stop at "Gabriel Fauré" station. In Grenoble, Tram line B has a stop at the train station ("Gares") and in the historic center ("Saint-Claire Les Halles").

Room sharing


If you would like to share a double room in a hotel with another participant, but don't know anyone in the same situation, don't hesitate to contact us at icgt.2014@grenoble-inp.fr. We will keep record of a list of participants willing to share a hotel room, and try to find a perfect matching.

List of hotels on the campus


To call or send a fax from a foreign country, replace the first 0 in the phone number by +33. Please be advised that the campus is completely desert at night (no restaurants, no bars, no night life), so the only benefits of these two hotels is their fairly affordable rates and the fact that they are at walking distance from the conference site.

The prices below do not include a city tax of at most 1 euros per day and per person. Please note that the discount offered by some of the hotels below are only available for a limited number of rooms.

  • Résidence de Bonne We negociated the following rates : 3 studios for 2 persons (67 euros per night, if you stay at least 5 nights), 3 slightly larger studios for 2 persons (78 euros per night, if you stay at least 5 nights), and 3 appartments for 4 persons (82 euros per night, if you stay at least 5 nights). Breakfeast is not included, but all the 9 appartments contain fully equipped kitchens. Note that each of the 4-person appartments contain a double bed and 2 simple beds (and not 4 simple beds).
